My Background
I have an Art degree from
Jacksonville State University, where
I specialized in sculpture.
I worked as a freelance artist
for a few years after college but
soon went into business.
I recently retired as a ordained minister after working for 20 years in music and youth.
I did not pick-up sculpture again until then, where I renewed my passion
and love for the art.

This work is made of 100% recycled Material. To make this Cross I took used and discarded aluminum cans and placed them in a crucible then heated them in a forge to over 1000 degrees. There the metal becomes liquid and bonds together. All the impurities of the old aluminum float to the top and are skimmed away. The bonded metal is p
This work is made of 100% recycled Material. To make this Cross I took used and discarded aluminum cans and placed them in a crucible then heated them in a forge to over 1000 degrees. There the metal becomes liquid and bonds together. All the impurities of the old aluminum float to the top and are skimmed away. The bonded metal is poured into a mold where it hardens into the shape chosen by the forger. The forged metal is permanently bonded together and it can never be separated, something new and completely purified is shaped.

represent that inspiration.
Refining fire took something old, dirty, used,
and useless, fire purified and
transformed it into something new.
This cross is a symbol
of God’s love for you and me.
God shows His love for us , in that while we were still sinners, Christ
